Siri82 is right! There are some things in that are in print that is just glossed over, like viewing R rated movies.
Thanks for the reminders I just glossed over that information.
while attending a week long training class for elders in patterson, bro losch gave the concluding talk about loyalty to the borg, which i was in awe of(i went more in detail in a recent post about a s.a.d.
where losch was the speaker).
at the end of his talk, here's what he said: .

"I have some Counsel for You Brothers about Sports, in particular a certain game where they mimic ancient gladiators, by putting on plastic armor and pads, then brutally attacking their opponents, trying to injure them by going after an egg shaped ball." (Football)
I then came out of my "hypnotic state", and said to myself; WTF did he just say?
After he was done, we were dismissed. Many Elders were talking about the evils of Football. I kept my mouth shut for a little while(I really love Football). However, on the shuttle ride back to the Airport (this was a Van driven by a male Bethelite), there were 12 other Elders in this Van and I had to ask the driver... "How do the Bethelites feel about Pro Football?" He said: "Did you guys get that speech about Football from Bro. Losch? I said yes. He then said: "Other members on the Governing Body do not share his view!" In fact, we here call him "NFL", No Football Losch". Some of us laughed, while others did not think that statement was funny. Then the driver looked at me in the mirror and said: By the way, I'm a Jets fan!"
An Elder sitting next to me from Alabama said: "that driver is in the wrong and needs to be counseled! I am going to write a letter to the Branch about this driver and his lack of respect toward members of the Governing Body"!
so we had brother losch visiting our special assembly day which was weird in itself.
he's not a very good speaker and seemed like he was in dire need of a nap or something.. anyways just a few observations from the assembly program.
theme: imitate their faith.
When I attended the Elder School in Patterson, He gave the concluding talk about loyalty to the BORG. I was enthralled with "his sincerity", talking about a splitter group from Romania and they were cut off from the Org in 1950 when the Soviet Union took over. Then when the Soviet Union collapsed and communication was re-established, these Brothers did not accept the changes to the Org (he mentioned smoking being a big issue). "It took a week of long nightly discussions and prayers" but "I always addressed them as Brothers", "Then me and another Brother with me were able to convince 3 of the 4 prominent Brothers in charge, representing some 75% percent of the publishers,(some 5000 people) to come back to the Organization. "
"The moral of this experience, do not be quick to Judge your Brothers who have doubts. Be patient, listen carefully, and display love"(he read Jude 22, "show mercy to those who have doubts"), "Jehovah will Bless your efforts". I was in awe! He had me and every Elder in attendance! We were listening to his every word, you could hear a pin drop....
Then he took a long pause, everyone was clapping hysterically, Then he said; "I have some Counsel for You Brothers about Sports, in particular a certain game where they mimic ancient gladiators, by putting plastic armor and pads, then brutally attacking their opponents, trying to injure them by going after an egg shaped ball." (Football)

I would not be surprised. Close sources(which I have already posted), have been calling me weekly telling me of non essential Bethelites being released.
Don't forget, that over a year ago, all CO's(no more DO's), over 70 were sent packing, no longer a Traveling Servant. So this News is not out line of what has been going on for years!
hi everybody, 1st post here.
20 years jw, elder for 6 years, regular pioneer for 3 years, have always been following the 2012 candace conti abuse case with much interest, especially since the case suddenly disappeared from www.watchtower.com's news section (thanks brother j. r. brown, office of public information, because it led me to "worldly" websites for more info), leading to more and more dissatisfaction , leading to jwfacts, jwsurvey, ad1914, wtdocuments etc., leading to my awakening about 4 months ago, now fading faster and faster to zero meetings and zero field service...and you know what?
it feels good!.
is anybody aware of any kingdom hall builds going on or any kind of ldc activity?
i've been wanting to ask this, and committeechairman's question at the end of this thread, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/289353/ldc-semininar?page=4&size=20, moved me to go ahead and ask.. i've kind of wondered whether the org leaders got rid of rbcs and instituted the ldc arrangement because they wanted to be able to stop or slow down construction without it being obvious.
if the rbcs were still in existence, it would be obvious that there's nothing (or almost nothing) going on (if that really is the way it is) because rbc personnel would be idle when they were used to being busy.
A week before the Annual Meeting at all the Bethel Branches for Morning Worship,
Bro. Heard explained the slowdown in construction was to "re-group, to focus better on using the Lord's finances and concentrate on giving the Preaching Work first priority"!
At the Annual Meeting, he stated this again, but then included Bethel Staff reductions to be re-assigned back into the Field and a Major reduction in Special Pioneers.

We went from 2 RBC projects a month to nothing to the past year and no talk of future projects.
I think the focus is to throw out a bone (1 project) in the larger cities to give a good impression that things are moving ahead, when in fact there been a HUGE SLOW DOWN!!!
